Antonin has been working in Leroy Merlin already for 12 years, including 7 years in Russia.
After 7 years in stores, in 2015 he took responsibility of IT and the digital transformation of the BU in Russia.
Over that period, Leroy Merlin grew from a Brick and Mortar company with 34 stores, to an omnichannel leader of DIY market with a platform strategy.
One of the key challenges to support this transformation was to attract, hire, integrate and develop IT people, and developers in particular.
The IT team grew over that period from about 60 people to 500+ including 120 developers
Jean-Noel founded Kameleoon in 2008 in Paris and has been working in Moscow since December 2013. Kameleoon offers a SaaS platform for Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). Present in 4 countries, the company is already an European leader and employs more than 140 people. Leading brands such as Auchan, Renault, Decathlon, Manchester United, Axel Springer all rely on Kameleoon to optimize the digital journeys of their customers.
Initially the developer team was based in France but as Jean-Noel moved to Russia, he started growing the R&D team as well. Starting with a first Russian employee in April 2014, the Russian office now employs more than 40 developers. Jean-Noel will talk about the challenges of attracting talented developers in Russia and will present a comparison of the French IT market vs the Russian one.
